It is with a heavy heart that we bring the sad news of a large fire that destroyed parts of Conley Bottom Resort on Lake Cumberland today. The owner of Houseboats Buy Terry, Terry Miller, operated her business from her houseboat there at the marina as well, and she lost everything to the fire.

The fire began around 2:30 a.m. and proceeded to damage one of the marina’s houseboats, to destroy the store and the café, and to destroy Terry’s houseboat which was both her home away from home and the seat of her business.

As of right now, there are no reports of injuries and it is still uncertain how the fire started.

Everyone here at Houseboat Magazine is keeping Conley Bottom Resort and Houseboats Buy Terry in their prayers after this devastating fire. We send our deepest sympathy and we are thinking of you!
