CHAOS

July 2020 Own

Stardust’s boat CHAOS will always stand out as one of our favorites we had the pleasure to feature in 2011. In fact, the Houseboat staff had the privilege of being present when Stardust and its then-owner Terry Aff delivered this gorgeous boat to its family at State Dock Marina on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. It was quite a special experience to watch the majestic boat makes its way into its slip. The boat is a former Houseboat Expo showboat that wowed countless attendees at the show. It’s not difficult to see why when gazing at its commanding appearance. The CHAOS boasts glass sides which give the houseboat a boat look as opposed to a boxy look. In the end, Stardust nailed its goal of combining a handsome design with performance and function.

It was difficult to walk away from the gorgeous vessel after the photo shoot and everyone from the Houseboat magazine team kept stealing glances back at the exquisite vessel. From the inside out, Stardust covered every specific detail from the custom-made, in-house cabinetry to the beautiful exterior. This boat just kept calling our attention back and it’s remembered as one of our favorite photo shoots over the years.

Stardust Cruisers

Starting as a stand-alone pioneer in the houseboat business, Stardust has always been a frontrunner when it comes to being an innovator and fighting its way through the rough seas of the boating industry. What’s more, it’s always remaining above water. Not to mention, this particular manufacturer holds the record as the oldest continuously-operating houseboat company which stands as a testament of the quality in its builds.

Now a part of Trifecta Ventures, Stardust still continues to boast its distinct individuality as a company. Ever since its first steel hull construction in 1965, it has built more than 1,500 custom vessels to date, and it continues to blow others out of the water with the incredible craftsmanship and design of its outstanding houseboats. Thanks to its patented web frame design, it’s able to fortify its entire structure further, and its new hull improvements—combined with direct drive or V-drive power configurations—really give Stardust an upper hand because it not only makes it easier to handle, but it also grants it plenty efficient. Stardust also conveniently specializes in custom woodwork and cabinetry, which means the work always has a fresh take on their traditional, stylish designs.
