It’s not every day you get to wash an elephant. Most places don’t have elephants, and among those that do, not many are willing to let guests help out with their care and feeding. Then again, this is no ordinary place, and expectations could never have prepared a group of women for the adventures that awaited them in southern Indiana. Whether touring historical hotels surrounding the famous mineral springs or witnessing nature from the convenience of the Patoka Lake floating cabins, these sisters were able to experience a place they will never forget.
Terri Duncan and her sisters have a long-standing tradition of enjoying time together with a weekend girls’ trip, though most of these adventures stayed fairly close to home in their native Idaho. But when opportunity presented a novel destination, Terri had the idea to go on a whirlwind tour through French Lick while staying at one of the floating cabins on Patoka Lake.
