Houseboating is looking hot in northern California, with The San Francisco Chronicle reporting that Jones Valley Resort at Shasta Lake was 80 percent booked through mid-July. They’re not alone—most resorts are showing a similar change of pace, thanks to the increased water levels that are drawing more houseboaters to the region.
Jennie Vogt at Jones Valley shared with The San Francisco Chronicle that the first question on most renters’ lips isn’t about the cost right now. “The big thing they want to know is when can they go, when can they depart,” she shared.
If you’re looking to join the momentum and head to California for a relaxing west coast getaway, keep an eye out on prices for the older one-deck models, which have some attractive specials. With refreshing water, relaxing beaches, and the wide California sky arching overhead, it’s a good time to rent!
