Black Angus Burger To Go, Please

June 2016 News Web Exclusive

Have you ever wanted to eat at a restaurant while you’re out on the water but don’t want the hassle of long lines and hectic docking? That’s exactly what was on the minds of founders of the Burger Buoy, a houseboat restaurant that serves delicious food to boaters in the New York, N.Y., area.

After hundreds of hours spent planning and designing everything, the Burger Buoy was ready to fire up the grill. The team made sure to meet or exceed Coast Guard regulations and Nassau County Board of Health requirements.

All you have to do is raise the Burger Buoy on channel 73 or call/text in your order to 516-582-2500, pull along their floating dock, and dig in to fresh, hot food.

The Burger Buoy team partnered with great suppliers, including A&S bagels of Franklin Square that are picked up daily. The Burger Buoy serves breakfast all day and round that out with menu items like Black Angus burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, ices cream, and cold drinks. They also carry items such as sunscreen, hats, and bug spray. A second houseboat, BB2, will shortly join the fleet. If you’re lucky enough to be in the West End Boat Basin and Short Beach area, make sure to check them out.
