If you’re ever up late and find yourself having a hard time getting sleepy, you might flip on the TV to see if anything good is showing. You might come across Animal Planet’s series “Ice Lake Rebels.” If you watch it, you might not get sleepy at all!

This series follows a group of somewhat anti-establishment houseboaters who fight the plunging freeze and thaw cycle of Great Slave Lake in Canada’s Northwest Territories to live their chosen lifestyle. Showing Sundays at 10/9C time, you might find this an interesting and entertaining show. Heaven knows being a liveaboard through wintertime can be difficult enough without living that far north.
