I challenge you to think of something better than houseboating for a week on Lake Powell. Impossible, right? Even if you regularly houseboat in other places around the country, you need to experience Lake Powell.
When the extended family decided to go on a vacation together last September, they had plenty of options. They could catch a cruise ship in Seattle to head to Alaska, take a road trip through the Black Hills of South Dakota or fly to LA to visit the (second) happiest place on Earth. But they decided that spending time on a houseboat is really the best way to vacation, so they began packing to spend a week on the open water.
