For nearly 40 years, Gibson Boats has produced a hybrid cross between a houseboat and a cabin cruiser. The Gibson boat offers cruiser-like performance with houseboat-like amenities and ranges from 44 to 59 feet in length. Gibsons can be found literally all over the world. All Gibson boats are saltwater ready, which gives the Gibson owner thousands of miles of Intercoastal waterway to explore with its fiberglass modified V-hull. After Gibson's previous facility was destroyed in a tornado in early spring of 2006, a new manufacturing facility was built in Portland, Tenn.
Gibson uses an extensive hand-laid process when building all of their hulls. Many of its staff members have been building boats for over 25 years. This level of experience contributes to the quality and tradition known as Gibson Boats.
"Gibson continues to gain market share in the 40- to 55-foot fiberglass market. We provide a combination of performance, room and value unmatched by cruisers or trawlers. Our customers literally save thousands of dollars in buying a Gibson. Plus, they end up with a top-quality boat customized to their individual needs."
