What was once an old Boeing B-307 owned by aviation legend Howard Hughes has been recycled into one of the coolest houseboats in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The name of this amazing structure is the Cosmic Muffin, and although it may not look like a muffin, it's definitely just as sweet as one.
Back in 1939, the Cosmic Muffin was a fully functional Boeing B-307 Stratoliner that Howard Hughes purchased with TWA. By 1969 it was deemed unflyable, so it was sent to a Florida landfill. That's when realtor and pilot Kenneth W. London pulled it from the depths of despair and began to transform it into a dream houseboat. He tore off the wings and tail, and then mounted it on a boat hull. In 1994 current owner David Drimmer bought it, and the rest is "cosmic" history.

There's a quaint bar tucked behind the cockpit.

The main living space.
