The ActiveCaptain Web site has been redesigned with a new look, new logo and a simpler user interface, along with a new store that offers a unique way of earning discounts.

ActiveCaptain's interactive cruising guidebook still offers the same marina, anchorage and local knowledge details that boaters depend on, along with uncensored reviews. Now, with the new online store, ActiveCaptain users can use the points they accumulate by contributing to the guidebook to save money.

These savings are in addition to the ongoing awards program, which uses points to obtain free products from manufacturing partners. ActiveCaptain is working with a variety of manufacturers to offer free samples of marine products when a user reaches certain point thresholds.
