John E. Meyer, age 79 of Xenia, Ohio and Manasota Key, Florida, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in Ft. Thomas, KY as the result of an aviation accident. Among his many business and civic affiliations John was Partner and President of BOTEWERKS LLC dba Fantasy Yachts in Monticello, Ky.
He is survived by his companion of many years, Ellie Mae Smith, daughters Patty Dorn of Kettering, Ohio and Marcia O'Rourke of Bellbrook, Ohio, grandson Tommy O'Rourke of Bellbrook, Ohio, brother Marion "Bud" Meyer, sister Winona "Sug" Jones, and sister Sharon Landers.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3rd in Dayton, Ohio with burial in Woodland Cemetery in Xenia, Ohio. John will be sadly missed by the boating industry and all the many whose lives he touched with his generosity, wit and kindness throughout the years. No changes are expected in the day-to-day operations of BOTEWERKS LLC.
